I had my 16 week (or FOUR MONTH, holy shit) check-up bright and early this morning and let me tell ya...having your coochie coo invaded by a man who is not your husband, a man yielding a speculum and (latex free!) rubber gloves at 7:55 am is not my idea of a fun morning romp.
All is well. The baby's heartbeat is strong, my bp is nice and normal, my pap shows no change so there won't be any calls made to the oncologist on this fine day. I even weigh the exact same as I did at my last visit, which I believe to be a total frickin load of bull, but who am I to argue with that scale? I'd rather kiss and hug it. Maybe I even did. Wouldn't you like to know.
I'm floored that I am already four months along. It seemed like the last pregnancy wore on for years. I know all pregnancies seem awful toward the end and you wish you'd just shoot that baby out and be over with it, but for real...with BabyJuJu, the whole 9 months seemed awful and long and unbearable. This time seems to be going so much faster. I am forever and ever grateful for that. Now that I have written it, of course I will wake up tomorrow with the puking and the sweating and the tiredness and the cramps and the swollen ankles and the zits. When did I become such a pessimist?
Well, god help me, summer vacation has arrived in our home and I must now go and fill the endless hours of the day with fun filled creative crafty type things to do for the boy. The boy who complains of boredom no less than 84 gazillion times per minute. The boy who is right this minute standing at the top of the stairs throwing a super ball down at his sister on the bottom and she is laughing her little bald head off. I should really put a stop to such dangerous behavior, but the laughing is really what I need to hear today. Her head is malleable anyway, right?
Are you finding out what is growing in there?? I can't believe you are 4 months either!! So cool :)

Glad to hear that Itty JuJu is doing so well! And you as well...congrats on the constant weight! And hey, whatever happened with your haircut? Did you go drastic?

Fun morning! I always hated that myself. Glad the baby is doing well. Summer vacation already? The kids here are still in school until the last week of June. Abby

She'll bounce back. I will do anything for that little laugh! Hope you are feeling well.

Four months? Holy crap, that can't be right. But then again, I can't have an 11 month old daughter either...yet I do! Sheesh. Time flies.
