The funeral was hard. It's strange how growing up you never really think that," Hey! My grandparents aren't going to live forever! Maybe I should spend as much time with them as I can now." My grandpa (mom's dad) passed away back before LittleJuJu was even born and I always felt sad that he did not get a chance to meet my son. A few weeks ago I had a chance to visit with my Baba before she died and I'm so glad that I took the kids to see her. At least she had a chance to meet her fourth great-grandchild. I'll never forgive myself for being in town so many times over the past year or so and not stopping by for a visit. There are always so many people to see and things to do in the short time we are there...I should have made more time to see my Bubs. There is never enough time.
Sickness. Yes, I had some sort of flu bug over the weekend and it was just on it's way out when we had the funeral. I woke up last Thursday thinking that I felt a little sore in my muscles but couldn't figure out what I had done (certainly wasn't exercise) to make me achy. Then later in the day when I was shivering my ass off in the 90 degree heat, I knew I was sick. The only reason I felt that it could have been a kidney infection was that my lower back hurt like hell. The fever and chills passed but the back ache did not. My doctor thinks I pulled some muscles in my back, gave me drugs and told me to take it easy.
Take it easy. Heh. She is so smoking something. Don't you love when I just throw in some pictures to make up for lack of content?! Me too!
God she is cute! Glad that everything went okay. So hard to lose a grandparent.
